The Ghost Cat

March 6th, 2008 by Ghost Crossing

A few years ago, I used to live in a building that had two apartments. There was a bottom one and a top one. The only way to access the top one was from the outside outside.

A few weeks before this event took place, one of the family cats, Socks, died. We buried it in our yard and didn’t think anything of it.

On the night this event took place, it was stormy, rain and everything. All of a sudden, we hear a meowing sound, coming from the basement, two floors below us. We cut off all sound in the house so we could hear it more clearly and sure enough, we continued to hear it.

We went to check the grave and dug it up, what we founnd is nothing, absolutely nothing. Somehow, a “dead” cat managed to claw it’s way out of it’s grave, put the dirt back perfectly, and go down into the basement.

So then, we got out lights to check out the basement. We headed down to the basement and there Socks was, our dead cat.

I’ll probably never learn how he was still alive.

This was quite possibly the moment I was the most terrified in my life. I had never had anything like this happen to me before and, soon after this, I began to read about Paranormal happenings, via books and the internet.
